Day 1: Denpasar – Maumere (-/-/D)
Arrival at Frans Seda Airport, Maumere. Our english speaking guide will pick you up at the airport and will take you directly to your hotel. The afternoon is free of program. Dinner and overnight at Sea World Club Hotel.
Day 2: Maumere – Larantuka (B/L/D)
After the breakfast in your hotel you drive to Larantuka, the capital of East Flores. This coastal town used to be a naval base for trade and a central point for colonial and clerical activities in East Indonesia. Nowadays, Larantuka is still an important connecting port to the neighboring islands and the center of economic activities of East Flores, attracting many people from the surrounding villages to make a living in the town. On the way, you will stop at Boru Village where you can see the volcano called Mount Lewotobi as well as a coffee plantation in Hokeng. Another stop at Titehena shows you a beautiful panorama of Konga Bay and Lewotobi. Dinner and overnight at Asa Hotel Larantuka.
Day 3: Larantuka – Maumere (B/L/D)
After visiting Meting Doeng Beach in the morning, you will join a Larantuka city tour to visit Reinha Rosari Catholic cathedrals built in portuguese style, the harbor and the local market. In the afternoon you return to Maumere. Dinner and overnight at the Sea World Club Hotel, Maumere.
Day 4: Maumere – Moni (B/L/D)
You starting the day by visiting the museum of Ledalero located at the outskirts of Maumere. The museum has an interesting collection of ethnological objects from all over the region. Ledalero is named after a major catholic seminary, which is known to bring out many florenese priests. Then you continue to Sikka Village, a very famous district for its traditional weaving using organic dyes. Enjoy the serenity of Paga Beach during lunch, before going on a leisurely trek to Jopu and Ranggase villages in the afternoon. Dinner and overnight at the Kelimutu Eco Lodge in Moni.
Day 5: Moni – Kelimutu – Ende – Riung (B/L/D)
In the early morning at 04.00 am the car takes you to the three colored lakes of Kelimutu, one of the most spectacular and mysterious sights in Indonesia. You will witness a beautiful sunrise. Then you return to the hotel and after having breakfast you continue the trip to Ende. On the way several stops will be made i.e. in Nangapanda or the blue pebble beach. Dinner and overnight in Pondok SVD Riung.
Day 6: Riung Marine Park (B/L/D)
Today you will spend your time hopping around the 17 islands of the gorgeous Riung Marine Park– a chain of large and small islands i.e. Pau, Borong, Ontoloe, Dua, Kolong, Lainjawa, Besar, Halima and a lot more. All islands are uninhabited and their coastlines are pure white sand beaches. At Ontoloe Island you can watch flying foxes and bats. Afterwards you enjoy those magnificent beaches and the cristal clear water by swimming, snorkeling or just relaxing. In the afternoon you return to Riung. Dinner and overnight at Pondok SVD Riung.
Day 7: Riung – Bajawa (B/L/D)
In the morning you drive to Bajawa, a small town located 1200m above sea level, and indulge your senses with wonderful scenery along the way. Passing by the hot springs of Soa you have the chance to take a relaxing bath there, before joining the Bajawa city tour in the afternoon. Dinner and overnight in Happy-happy Hotel or Silverin Bajawa.
Day 8: Bajawa – Ruteng (B/L/D)
After breakfast you visit Bena – an ancient Ngadanese village above 1.5 hours away from Bajawa. Experience the unique way of life with the traditional houses and the ceremonies that are still authentic in a long-preserved tradition. After that you continue to Aimere, the centre of “Arak”-production and later take a medium hike along the rainforest trail of Ranamese’s crater lake. In the afternoon you will reach Ruteng. Dinner at a local restaurant and overnight at MBC Susteran Guesthouse Ruteng.
Day 9: Ruteng and surrounding (B/L/D)
In the morning you drive to Tengkulese Waterfall in the northern part of Ruteng. The two-tier waterfall – also known as Cunca Lega (cunca means ‘waterfall’ in Manggaraian) – is named after a village nearby. To reach the waterfall it takes a one-hour-trek through a lush forest and along rice terraces with stunning views. Once arrived you can go for a swim there or just enjoy the natural surroundings. After returning to Ruteng in the afternoon, you visit Liang Bua, an archaeological cave where the Homo Floresiensis (a very small human being) was found by archaeologists. Dinner in a local restaurant and overnight in MBC Susteran Guesthouse in Ruteng.
Day 10: Ruteng – Labuan Bajo – Rinca (B/L/D)
After the breakfast you visit Golo Curu with its very nice scenery over Ruteng and the rice fields. After that, you proceed to the traditional village of Ruteng Puu before you continue to Cancar to see the unique lingko, circular rice fields arranged like a spider web. The car then takes you directly to the pier of Labuan Bajo, where a boat is waiting for you to sail to island of the dragons, Rinca. Dinner and overnight on the boat.
Day 11: Rinca – Komodo Island – Labuan Bajo (B/L/D)
After having breakfast a trekking tour of approx. 2 hours at Rinca awaits, that is the best opportunity to see dragons and their prey, passing the dragon nests and out into the sunshine across an exposed savannah studded with lontar palms. Reaching the top of the exposed slopes you will be rewarded with breathtaking views. After that you will continue to Komodo Island, where you go for a medium trek of approx. 1.5 hours. Passing a waterhole you might see some timor deer, wild pigs and again the famous Komodo Dragons. You will climb Sulphurea Hill and Frigate Hill, where a magnificent view across the islands, bays and beaches awaits. After the hiking trip you return to the boat and proceed to the Pink Beach. It is definitely a great place to spend some time by just laying back or enjoying the spectacular underwater world by snorkeling. In the afternoon you sail back to Labuan Bajo. Dinner and overnight in Puri Sari Beach Hotel in Labuan Bajo.
Day 12: Labuan Bajo – Denpasar (B/-/-)
In the morning you are taking a small excursion to the Batu Cermin Cave before we provide transfer to the airport for you to catch the flight back to Denpasar/Bali.
